Wildflowers

Todd and I were driving home one day and could not stop looking at the beautiful orange and purple flowers on the hills by our house. So we decided to take the girls. We told McKenna that we were going on an adventure and she got really excited. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that the orange flowers were millions of Poppies. McKenna was all about walking through the flowers as Todd is telling her not to trample or pick on them. She did good about he picking but the trampling not so well. Todd and McKenna decided to hike up a little hill and find a rock to sit on. Anyway Addie for some reason as soon as she saw the flowers gripped onto Todd and started to cry. I am not really sure what it was but we knew we weren't getting any good pictures of her so we just made it about McKenna. Well during the adventure McKenna got a scratch on her foot and decided right then and there that she didn't like adventures anymore and that we were to go home. In the car she was crying and I asked her why she was crying and she said "sometimes little girls just have to cry." I love doing things like this that doesn't cost any money and shows us how blessed we are to have family and live in gorgeous and colorful world. Happy adventures to you.

How pretty McKenna looks in her lil dress. She's so funny. It's nice just being able to pull over and let the girls small the flowers.Love ya
