Tour of California

We were able to go to the finish of the Tour of California. It just happened to end Escondido, the home town of my Mom and Larry and Nana and Papa. The finish was in downtown Escondido just blocks from my mom’s house so we were able to walk to the race. Levi Leipheimer won the race. Todd and I tried to stay after to get a glance at him or Lance Armstrong but they seemed to just disappear in to their van or crowd or something. The only sort of "celebrity" moment that I had was Levi's wife walked next to me and I told her congratulations and she said "thank you and thank you for coming." Going to a pro-cycling race is sort of a weird thing because you wait for hours just to see them go past you in a matter of seconds and then it is over. Over all it was a fun experience and we will probably try to go again next year. Brother Brandon, Todd and my step-dad LarryThey had a huge tv so we could watch the race live. You can see it across the way above the people covering the right corner of the building. It has yellow rectangles going down the sides of the screen.Crazy amount of people and they were all taking pictures. I thought this was a funny photo.Schleck was the winner of this stage but Levi won overall.Levi is the third one back on his way to the finish. His team is bringing him in. Lance Armstrong is the 4th one back with the yellow helmet.

Play Dates are Always Fun

You can't have a play date without food, laughter, fun, a few fights and of course the occasional meltdown. It is always worth it for us moms to get together for an afternoon to have an adult conversation even if it is in segments. This day my long time good friends Sheryl and Shannon came over for a visit. Sheryl has Elijah and Kaleb and Shannon has Morgan and Tycen and they brought their nephew Cole. So we had a total of 7 kids! I am always thankful that I have more than one of whatever they want to play with, on this day it was sunglasses.
Morgan almost 3 and Mckenna 4Elijah almost 2 and Addie 21 monthsElijah is SUCH a character!
Lets not forget about the most adorable baby boys.

Kaleb - 4 1/2 months
Tycen - 7 months

Tour de Palm Springs

As most of you know for the last 2 years Todd has participated in the Tour de Palm Springs. The first year he rode 25 miles and the second year he rode 50 miles. Well this year on Valentine's Day we rode as a family. Yep you guessed it we moved up in mileage for the third year and rode 100 miles. HA no way we rode 5 miles and my butt is still sore from that seat. Anyway the girls had a blast. They had their Valentine bags with pez candy, a princess wand, a magna doodle, snacks and their bike race bottles (that is what they call Todd’s bottles when he rides so they have to have one too). After we were finished the girls had black asphalt particles all over their face, in their eyes and up their noses. We had no idea they did not complain about it. I guess we will have to put the screen on next time. Anyway we look forward to riding 10 miles next year.

Happy Valentines Day!

Every year my mom has a Valentine's Day party at her house. Everything is ALWAYS so pretty and she always has lots of yummy heart shaped goodies. The guests usually include myself, my girls, my Nana and Papa and Little Mary. We always have a great time and find ourselves looking forward to it every year.4 Generations
