Tour of California

We were able to go to the finish of the Tour of California. It just happened to end Escondido, the home town of my Mom and Larry and Nana and Papa. The finish was in downtown Escondido just blocks from my mom’s house so we were able to walk to the race. Levi Leipheimer won the race. Todd and I tried to stay after to get a glance at him or Lance Armstrong but they seemed to just disappear in to their van or crowd or something. The only sort of "celebrity" moment that I had was Levi's wife walked next to me and I told her congratulations and she said "thank you and thank you for coming." Going to a pro-cycling race is sort of a weird thing because you wait for hours just to see them go past you in a matter of seconds and then it is over. Over all it was a fun experience and we will probably try to go again next year. Brother Brandon, Todd and my step-dad LarryThey had a huge tv so we could watch the race live. You can see it across the way above the people covering the right corner of the building. It has yellow rectangles going down the sides of the screen.Crazy amount of people and they were all taking pictures. I thought this was a funny photo.Schleck was the winner of this stage but Levi won overall.Levi is the third one back on his way to the finish. His team is bringing him in. Levi in front in the yellow jersey.
Lance Armstrong is the 4th one back with the yellow helmet.

We were thinking about you yesterday, we knew you were there! Tyler wanted to check it out, the start in RB cuz it's by his parents, but he wanted me and T to go, but it started at naptime...oh well, maybe next year. We watched the race on the website...
