The Buzz of December

I love this time of year. Here are just a few things we have done to get into the holiday spirit.

Todd always does such a great job on the lights.

My grandma sent us this 7-foot ferris wheel. The girls love it.

We decorated the tree. Addie wasn't that interested but McKenna loved it. Every time we pulled an ornament out of the box McKenna kept saying "oh that one is my favorite." My mom buys the girls and ornament every year. McKenna chose a pink Barbie ornament and Addie chose a little girl decorating her dog. (Well Mommy picked it out but I sure this will be that last year I will get to do that.)

My favorite ornaments are the ones we get personalized with the year.

Last year we started a new tradition by going to this really cool house in our area that has a ton of lights and decorations. They have a little show where the lights are set to the music, they have snow and they hand out candy canes. The kids love it and this year we went with our really good friends the Johnson's.

One day Nana came dressed just like McKenna so you know I had to make them pose for a picture. Not every little girl has a great-grandma to play with so I want to make sure McKenna remembers these moments and how special they are.

McKenna had her first Christmas Program at her school. She had to sing 7 Christmas songs that were changed to make them more about Jesus (wow what a concept a Christmas song about Jesus.) She did so good she sang every word to every song we were so proud.

Worst Mom of the Year Award

Yep this is what won me the Worst Mom of the Year Award. Oh Well! I have won it before and I am sure I will get many more.

McKenna was almost 2 here and cried the the year before and after this. This year was the first year she didn't cry and the first year Addie did.

Our Thanksgiving Weekend

Most of you know that we celebrate the holidays multiple times. While it is very tiring it is also so enjoyable and memorable. I wouldn't have it any other way. We all love spending time with our friends and family and are very grateful for all the relationships we have and the love we share. It all started the Sunday before Thanksgiving with a gathering at our friends Rob and Roonie's house in Carlsbad. (Sorry I don't have pictures) Then on Thursday we went to Todd's Parents house, Friday we were at my Nana and Papa's house and Saturday my Dad, Step-Mom Jan and my brother came to our house. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

We could not seem to get a good family photo this day for some reason. McKenna kept crying or goofin' off, we kept getting on to her, Addie was in her own world and the pictures for some reason were not in focus. We then tried a different location once McKenna calmed down and then the sun was in her eyes. Whatever! But they are at least funny.
