Well McKenna turned 4 on Friday. I can't believe how fast time goes. She wanted to go to the snow so we went to Big Bear. We had some drama but we also had fun. After the 3 hour trip up the mountain due to the crazy amount of people doing the same thing we found the perfect spot because no one was there. 
It was difficult to walk in the snow because every time we took a step we went in knee deep but we were not turning back we were going to get some sledding in no matter what. The girls were fine because McKenna was so light that she just walked along the top of the snow and Addie was in the front carrier with no intention of getting down. 
Todd took McKenna on the sled quite a few times and Addie and I found a log to sit on and took some pictures and video. 
Once McKenna got snow in her boots she was done. We made a snow cake out of snow and brought 4 candles to light but it was too windy for the candles to stay lit and too cold for McKenna to even care about the cake so there the cake sat. 
On one of my many road trips with my Nana and Papa my Nana made snow cream (ice cream made from snow) so I wanted to share that memory with McKenna, Addie and Todd. 
Todd liked it so much that he put it in a cup and drank it like a milk shake on the way down the mountain. 
The next day we had some friends and family over for a small celebration. McKenna had a great time and we did too!

4 tat sounds sooo old. She's looking taller too. I'm glad you guys had fun, and it looks like she got a lot of gifts. Happy Birthday McKenna we love you
How fun! Those will be great memories. Even though the drive was bad you will remember it forever. The snow bday cake is my favorite! I have never heard of snow ice cream. very cool. Love all the hello kitty party stuff too.
Oh how sweet!Happy Birthday McKenna! Seriously, 4?! wow. snow ice cream, how cool is that? wow, gigantic presents! We can't wait to take Terje to the snow, but the road trip is holding us back. We're planning to go to mammoth at the end of the month, still not sure if we'll bring him along...though I'd miss him if we didn't. fun times...
Once again, you've made the rest of us wish we were Jacksons!!!! I LOVE the snow photos -especially the the 2nd sledding photo of McKenna's joy! Please share the snow cream recipe...Little Bear makes something similar and the kids would love to make their own...Miss you all--and another Huge happy 4th to McKenna!!!
