So McKenna has been begging Todd for months to have a camp out in the back yard and we just now had the time to do it. McKenna said she was ready for bed at 6:15 and she even gave us a fake yawn so we would believe her. They had some fun with flashlights and reading stories. I thought for sure she would only last about 45 minutes. They seemed to be asleep by 7:30 or 8. Knowing that it was going to be in the thirties that night I went out there at 10pm and told them to come in because it was just too cold. McKenna was snoozing away and Todd said he didn't feel cold at all and that they were fine. At about 11:30 Todd called me because she had to go to the bathroom (he had to call because I still had to have all the doors locked.) I asked her then if she wanted to go to bed in her warm bed or keep camping and she wanted to go back outside. So they went and I didn't see them until 6:45 the next morning. Of course Todd is very proud of his "little camper" and is still talking about it.

That is SO great! I totally laughed at you that only you would have all the doors locked. You kill me! LOL :)
That is adorable!! I think we'll try that someday... in the spring :)
Now that's what I call camping! How fun!
Anthony says, "we'll have to do that too....but ours would be an igloo" so we'll have to wait til summer for that idea. I can't believe she actually slept out there. I don't know if Alex would actually ever fall asleep.
Absolutely FANtastic and so cute--I LOVE the beanies and am so impressed that they stayed out all night!!! I'm always so afraid it's going to be too cold during the winter months...what a trooper and what an amazing Daddy!
Oh man - that is so much fun! I can not believe MK made it all night! Below 75 and I need an electric blanket!
Somehow this post snuck by me, and glad I finally caught it. HOW SWEET ARE THEY? I think it's RAD they stayed out all night. We should have a multi-family camp out! (in the summer ;0))
