Happy Halloween

We started our Halloween off with pumpkin carving. This is new in this household because we didn't think the girls were old enough and frankly I didn't want to deal with the mess. I was also excited about cooking and eating the pumpkin seeds just like we always did growing up so this was the year to do it. Anyway when we told McKenna we were going to carve pumpkins she asked if we can make it a tradition (after we got finished explaining what a tradition was)...so it looks like we will be doing this every year.
So then it was time to get dressed. Adelyn wanted to be Dora, McKenna wanted to be Dorothy and we have called Sophie our Pumpkin Pie since she was born so close to Halloween and Thanksgiving that she decided to be a pumpkin. Oh and don't mind the cucumber...she wouldn't let go of it and it made her happy so we let her have it...she kept her hat on because of it and it matched her costume anyway.
Our friends and neighbors invited us to their church to go trick or treating. It was really nice because we didn't have to wait for it to get dark and we just went from car to car in like 30 minutes. It would have taken us two hours walking door to door in our neighborhood to get the same amount of candy.
We found a real TOTO!
Just me and my Pumpkin Pie!
