Well Todd participated in the Tour de Palm Springs today and it was such a beautiful day for riding. He rode 55 miles through the desert with a couple of friends from work. The girls and I decided to go and just hang out until he was done. We had a great time. On the way home Todd’s friend told him to get a “Date Shake” at this place called Hadley’s. So we decided to go there. Come to find out it was this really cool market with lots of “different” stuff. If you know me at all you know that I don’t do well with “different” stuff. This was the kind of market that had a lot of nuts, dried fruits and breads and stuff (and most of you know that the breads and stuff category is the section I am very familiar with.) Anyway it was the kind of store that my friend Roon would love to spend a pretty penny in as a matter of fact I bought her some stuff that I thought was very interesting and something that I know she would for surly love but something I would never try. HeeHee. So I have posted some pictures of the “weird” or “different” stuff that I thought you all would enjoy. Oh, on a side note McKenna loved the Date Shake so much that Todd had to go back in a get her one because he didn’t want to share his. HMM I wonder if had something to do with all that ice cream in the shake. I hope you enjoy the pictures and maybe next time you are out that way you will also make a stop for a "Date Shake."

Say What?! Those things are huge. I have seen them on T.V. but never seen them in "real life" before or for that matter held one. They were really heavy and had a soft but super thick shell. Really? $16.95 for a medium and $25.00 for a large. I had to ask about this one. The ladies said one egg is like 2 dozen chicken eggs "and if you have a big family just poke one open and scrmble then up, they taste sort of gamey though. Did you see the Emu eggs?" Say What?! I couldn't even ask about the Emu Eggs (they were sort of a navy color.)
Come on an empty one for $16.59?

No beefalo for me please!

He so deserves an ice cream I mean date shake for riding 55 miles. You did an awesome job honey. You always amaze me. I am so so so proud to be your wife. Can't wait to see if you can do the 100-mile next year. I love you more each day.
