Black and Pink Eyes and 8 Month Belly Shot

Well Addie got her first black eye the other day. They were throwing rocks down the slide and when we told them to put them back they decided to throw them back. The problem with being the little sister is that sometimes you get caught in the crossfire. They were BOTH hysterical crying. McKenna felt so bad and Addie felt a lot of pain.

Because McKenna never had a big sister to throw a rock at her head the worst she ever had was pink eye. Here she is at 9 months still lovin’ life despite her sticky swollen eye.

And here we are at 8 months...8 more weeks to go!

Addie's First Haircut

Well Addie finally had her first haircut today. She told me that she was not going to get one because it would hurt. McKenna got her bangs trimmed first (she wants to grow out the rest.) When it was Addie's turn the hairdresser let McKenna stay in the Barbie Jeep so Addie would feel more comfortable. Addie did just fine...the Barbie movie playing right in front of her helped of course. This place also does their hair in curls, paints their fingernails and gives them a balloon and lollipop. So Fun! The one bummer is that I forgot my CAMERA! So I did the best I could with my cell phone camera and I took some more when I got home.Once we got home...I know...geez how many pictures do I need to post of hair :)

First Day of the Second Year of Pre-School

Well McKenna started another year of Pre-School. She was very excited to go because she already knew two kids in her class. Her new teachers are Ms. Carol and Ms. Linda who have actually been teaching together for 10 years. McKenna will be going three days a week this year to get her ready for Kindergarten. We are really looking forward to watching her grow and learn.

Sweet Play Date

We got invited to a super fun play date at our friend Kathleen's house in Escondido. It was a play date/birthday party for the kids attachment items. Most of you know that Addie is totally attached to her "night-night" as well as a few stuffed animals. McKenna has never really been attached to anything but recently she has become close to her "Beary" that she sleeps with and leaves in her bed. In order to keep "Beary" safe she goes as far as taking the ladder off of her top bunk so Addie can't get her "Beary." Addie also has the exact same "Beary" but on this day she decided to take "Bunny" and of course "night-night" with her. Our good friends Tami and her son Jacob were also at the birthday party. Jacob is getting to be so big and cuter every day. McKenna and Addie just love him.
