Gettin' Ready For Baby Sophie

The girls got bunk beds over the weekend. They were very excited and I was very nervous. Addie has been such a good crib baby that I wasn't sure it was going to go well. They have actually both done pretty good transitioning into a bunk bed and sharing a room. Addie has done really well during nap time and McKenna sometimes gets in Addie's bed in the middle of the night. It feels a little bittersweet but I am glad to be able to fulfill my nesting needs.Addie didn't want anything to do with this picture.Nana made them both the most beautiful handmade (you know with no machine) quilts.

Pre-School Promotion...Well Sort-Of

It's the end of the school year and McKenna had her pre-school promotion ceremony. She still has another year of pre-school due to the age restrictions for kindergarten, but we went anyway because she learned all the songs and wanted to sing them.
She led the line of kids into the church and could not stop giggling.
Her friend Kadie. I guess it was just too loud when we all started clapping. When asked what she wanted to be when she grew up she said...a Princess!

Memorial Day Bike Parade

Our friend and neighbor Christina had this great idea to start an annual bike parade to honor Memorial Day by getting some of her friends and neighbors together at our local park. We all decorated ourselves, our kids and our bikes and rode around our neighborhood park. We had a great time and look forward to next year.

Addie's 2nd Birthday

Well my baby turned 2 and she really does seem much older. Good thing I am having another one...
My dad came for a short visit the night of her birthday. Nana and Papa always bring the best balloons.

It's a GIRL!

We are very happy to announce that we will be having our 3rd girl. We went to the ultrasound place for the third week in row and when the woman told us that is was a girl McKenna said "FOR REAL?" and then started jumping she was so excited.

3 Month Belly Shots

I made it to my 3rd month and couldn't be happier. I am feeling a lot better. This pregnancy has been completely different than the girls. I have not thrown up but I continue to be "gaggy" all day. I am literately starving every 2 hours and needless to say I have already gained a little weight. Shocking to me because I didn't start gaining weight with the girls until I was 5 months pregnant. Anyway I hope all these differences mean something so we are keeping our fingers crossed. Oh and our due date is October 31st.
