Riley's Farm

We decided that we would take the girls Apple Picking this weekend. They both really love apples and none of us had ever been. Riley's Farm is about and hour from our house towards Redlands. They have a ton of stuff to do there. This time of year you can pick apples, pumpkins and pears. We already had our pumpkin so we decided to just pick pears and apples. Of course the first apple we picked Addie had to start eating it right away.

Another Crazy Weekend

Todd did it! He rode in his first century ride (100 miles) on Saturday. And then rode another 50 miles on Sunday. This all happened during the Multiple Sclerosis Bay to Bay ride from Irvine to Mission Bay. Todd ended up raising $1750.00 so thank you to all of you who donated.
After 100 miles on the first day.
At the finish the second day. No I am not pregnant below that is just the wind at my back
We also took the girls to a local pumpkin patch and were pleasantly pleased with the scenery and brisk weather. We were the only ones there and the girls just ran around and picked pumpkins until their noses started running from all the hay in the air. We then discovered that our external hard drive that stores all of my 15,000 pictures had crashed. Yeah so needless to say Todd and I sent the girls outside to play while we tried to fix it. Just when you think they can’t get into anything oh no they always find a way to have fun without toys.

Addie

Just thought I would share some photos of Addie that I took in my Nana and Papa's front yard. It was a great time of day to take pictures and a great environment.

Kids who Eat and Survive on Air

I had said for a long time that McKenna lives off of air because she just doesn't seem to eat very much at all. Addie on the other hand can eat all day long. McKenna is perfectly healthy and is growing and learning everyday but I wish so badly that she would just eat. I can't even tell you how happy it makes me feel when I see Addie not only eating but also eating all the right stuff. Anyway on this particular night I gave the girls the same thing for dinner grilled chicken, steamed carrots and broccoli. This is typically what we eat now a days but I always give Addie twice as much as McKenna. And this is what was left on their plates.... I thought it was worth sharing.

I just thought I would share this with all of you, especially my mom friends, because it is true that they are who they are no matter what you do.

Sisterly Play

It's funny how they can play and use their imagination with just about anything. They always get into my dishtowels and on this day right before bed (notice Addie's "night-night" and bunny) they decided to play train with a dishtowel. McKenna kept saying “All Aboard” and Addie kept repeating her in her 16-month-old lingo. However, this probably didn’t happen as innocently as it sounds. Whenever McKenna lays out a blanket or something Addie always sits right in the middle of it and McKenna usually doesn’t like that. She probably did the same thing with the dishtowel and McKenna tried to pull it out from underneath Addie and discovered that that wouldn’t work but she could just pull her around and make a game out of it. I love how they are always making me laugh.

Todd's Fishing Trip in Mammoth

Todd returned home yesterday from his yearly fishing trip to Mammoth. He had a great time and came home refreshed. The girls and I missed him terribly and were so happy to see him when he got home. McKenna was especially happy to see him because every time he comes home he brings her some fish of her own (chewy candy fish that is.)

Addie and Molly

Addie loves dogs no matter how big they are.
